A gift for Terra Nova: 10 pedunculate oak seedlings
We have completed an important artistic stage in the development of the art building: a mosaic panel has been installed in the corridor leading to the workshops and concert hall.
As part of the "And the Oak in the Fields..." project, Terra Nova received 10 unique pedunculate oak seedlings from MelodyGarden Nursery. The seedlings, grown near the village of Sakovka, will form part of an experiment in propagating/cultivating multi-stemmed oaks in our area.
The goal of the project is not only to preserve and propagate these valuable trees but also to study their growth under specific conditions. The seedlings will be observed under varying sun, soil, and moisture conditions.
We thank MelodyGarden for this gift and are confident that the oaks will become an important part of the Terra Nova ecosystem.
These mighty trees are best described by the poem by the Belarusian writer Vladimir Korotkevich, which reflects the majesty and symbolism of oaks:
He would be the king of the oak. Above the fire you will hear, as above the pestilence of grass. And the acorn of the skin is like a fruitful fruit, For the sun there is a new parastak of raja. And all the cyapers, kalі yago epics Live at the veins of the leather, like a roof, From the bottom of the drain there is a timid wedge For the most mature men of oak.
