HYDROPONIC SYSTEM TERRA NOVA
ONE OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE PROJECT IS HYDROPONICS - GROWING MICROGREENS AND EXOTIC PLANTS. IN THE ESTATE WE RECONSTRUCTED A BUILDING WHICH WAS PREVIOUSLY USED AS A VEGETABLE BASE.
Our greenhouses and the planned orangery allow us to grow a wide range of plants. We currently grow herbs — oregano, basil, rosemary, romaine lettuce; vegetables and fruits — bell peppers, jalapenos, tomatoes, eggplants, kohlrabi, mini-squash, figs, bananas, passion fruit, guava, coffee; as well as unique ornamental plants and flowers — alyssum, miracle berry, hibiscus, coleus, celosia, hypoestes, tradiscantia, fuchsia and many others.
- HYDROPONIC SYSTEMSAt Terra Nova we have set up our own production of hydroponic systems. This is a method of growing plants without using soil, in which plants receive all the necessary nutrients through a solution.
- AIRPONY TOWERSVertical aeroponics is a method of growing plants by spraying a nutrient solution through nozzles. Watering is set up automatically. This system significantly saves both water and space. A lot of plants can be grown on a small plot.
- OUR GREENHOUSEIn May 2023, a greenhouse for growing vegetables was built on the estate. In just a month and a half, the first harvest was collected: tomatoes of different varieties, melothria, cucumbers, chili and sweet peppers, as well as eggplants.
